How old are you Hen? I'm 30 and I think I may be too old to have a kid and be a 'cool mom'. My mom was 30 when she had me (the day after her birthday) and she was 'the cool mom' to me and all my friends

In 32 years of life, I have been a battered woman, an addict and an alcoholic. I will never be abused again - by ANYONE, I have been clean for 14 years and haven't had a drink in three. Did it on my own with the help of my wonderful husband and God above.
I cook from scratch, and I'm famous (in my family) for my apple pie, German potato salad, cheesecake, and orange cookies.
We can, pickle and have a root cellar.
While we believe in God, we are not subscribed to any one religion and do not go to church. I think God sees you no matter where you are and what you're doing. Seems a lot of people are only good christians for that hour or so on Sunday where they sit in the pew and try not to doze.
I have lived in 13 states and 3 countries, and decided to come home to good old Pennsylvania to settle down and raise my family.
I crochet, paint (ceramics, pictures, etc.), sew, quilt and draw.
Oh - and I am addicted to chickens - but that's normal here.

Oh, where to begin? Too many weird things to list....well, weird to all the folks I know. Now, there may be a few people out there who feel like I do....but I feel I was born 150 years too late! I don't like all the things that the modern woman is supposed to like, I can pretty well do anything the ol' pioneer women did and I LOVE it! I don't like cell phones, cable TV, society, too much noise, bratty kids, spoiled dogs and cats, dogs who bark incessantly, ignorant city folk....or all ignorant folk, for that matter.

I love beautiful things, good smells, soft textures, good music and laughter.....lots and lots of laughter and joy!

Would love to live in a cob/hay bale house, with a windmill, off the grid, on a large farm and turn back the clock. As a matter of fact....I don't want to wear a watch anymore! I want to live by the movement of the sun, moon and stars.....and, of course, be awakened gently by my sweet rooster, Sue-p.

In what ways am I different....countless. A few things that are REALLY different, I guess....I love the smell of skunks! I do! I like to "eat" my buttermilk with a spoon. I shave my legs every day ( I just love that smooth feeling)! I can't wait to die and go to heaven! I am enjoying the teen years (3 boys I am raising by myself). I don't like having to answer the phone or the door when I am not prepared for company. I paint with acrylics on old barn boards....I like to do miniatures. I make wind chimes out of antique silver ware and metal do-dads and pretty beads. Other than God, my children and my mother, I feel completely alone on this spinning rock...too different to fit in and not willing to change. I love to read! I want to go skydiving, whitewater rafting, surfing and I would like to trail drive before I die. I really miss passionate kisses. I love to see an eagle fly. I can't stop staring at the stars...they fascinate me and let me know that God is with me. See....too hard to single out the many ways I am different.

Lets see I'm an Army brat. My DH is 10 years younger than I and we will celebrate 22 years of marriage on the 25th of this month. I've lived in a haunted house and have seen the residences. I love animals and at one time wanted to be a vet. I'm not much of a boob tube watcher but love Ghost Whisper and Moon Light. I love to read anything and love Classic Rock. I get scared really really easy and DH take advantage of that. Oh I am terrified of snakes and big bugs.
