What other ways are you different? Besides the chicken thing :)

Lets' see, we don't own a tv, we live in a tiny house and it's plenty of room for us, I ride my bike most places, we save most of our money, our car is not new, I was born without the American work ethic..I'm sure there is a million other things but I imagine that's good for now.

I am a 31 year old full time female chemistry and chemical engineering instructor. Halfway through my 5th year.

I am also a black belt in karate, board certified vet tech, and wildlife rehabber (Cert ran out though).

Oh, you know what else makes me different, I am still cool! Oh, wait, thats not really true.....nevermind.

I am a video gamer who loves to buy new equipment. I love reptiles and amphibians. I dont own a HDTV or 7.1 surround sound yet but I own a ps3 and a few blu-ray movies. I also own a used car and am going to get another used car in a few years. I love love love anime.

well lets see. i am a german living in the states, had every hair style imaginable incl dreads and braids, , i like to bring all sorts of animals home, i love ugly animals, the uglier the better??????????

I spent 20 years in the USAF. My career field was helicopter maintenance. In 1978, when I reported to my first duty station, I was the first female mechanic they ever had there. The best job I ever had in the Air Force was crew chief of my own helicopter. I worked on the Jolly Green Giants (HH-3E's) and spent most of my time in search and rescue.

I finished up in special ops working on the Blackhawks.
Now I teach kindergarten - 2nd grade. At times that's harder than being in the Air Force!

I was home schooled . I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to plastic bags , I never ever ever use them . I'm also a bit of a freak when it comes to recycling . Pretty much all my clothing is bought second hand , I never buy clothing new with the exception of undergarmets and socks , eww . I keep reptiles . I love fishing . I don't drink , smoke or do drugs , never have never will . I walk or ride my bike pretty much everywhere within reason . I did animal rescue for several years . I'm extremely cheap . Just to start ...

I had a shotgun wedding 1 month before I graduated from highschool. I have been married for 16 years to the same fellow. I had our daughter 6 months later. I made a perfect score on my SATs. My hubby received his undergrad and masters degree in Engineering from NC State. I received my nursing degree from UNC at Chapel Hill. (We paid our own way!!! Including daycare for our daughter!!!) Our daughter attended college with us. She could read and write before her 4th birthday!!! My water broke during my graduation ceremony as I was walking across stage and I gave birth to our son the day after graduation. My son was my graduation gift to myself. I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) three years ago. I had my left mandible (jaw) removed and had my mouth wired shut for 3 months. I had a metal mandible placed at that time. I underwent treatment. Last year I received a bone transplant and was wired shut for another 3 months. I "ate" eggdrop soup everyday. I am currently cancer free. I am watched closely. I am a school nurse. I spend a lot of time with my kids. I am more of a guy than most guys I know. There is very little that a man can do that I can't. I was 1 of 3 girls raised on a farm in Duplin County, NC and had no brothers, so I can run any piece of farm equipment that our farm required and fixed them when they broke!!! My hubby hates it when I occassionally "act like a girl".

I guess I am abnormal compared to the descriptions here. We have a TV in every room. Live in a large house, finance our cars when we need one, cellphones for everybody, can fix anything, never hire anybody to do anything Ie. plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanics, etc. , raise chickens and kids. LOL

I think one persons "different" is anothers normal. I am just a firm believer in letting the other man do what he wants as long as it don't infringe on my freedoms and I won't mess with his.

What turns heads my way is the fact that I am so addicted to fishing! Since 2001, I have eaten and breathed fishing.... until I got chickens and ducks. Soon as the coop is in place, I will get out and catch up on my fishing for this season.

I am known on many fishing forums as FisherMOM, I have a website, and have been on National TV "Lunkerville" (www.lunkerville.com). My friends and family thought I had lost it when I took my fishing hobby by the horns and learned all that I could. I especially like to fish for carp.. which is another oddity it seems. DH and I would go camping.... I'd be in the creek fishing... he'd be at camp cooking something in the smoker. I'd split the firewood (when not fishing), he'd be drinking a beer watching.

I'm 41, have 6 tattoos (from my mid twenties), my eyebrow pierced (this year), and I am a part time Librarian... the local Library lady to many local preschools. Mom of 2 girls.. 18 and 9. Yes, they have the same father. Married almost 19 years now.
