What part of the "No Soliciting" do you not understand!

Seriously, I think some people don't know what the word "soliciting" means.

No they dont read or know how to read NO SOLICITING! signs. Put the sign out ATTACK DOG in front door. The only thing I do want are the Girl Scouts selling cookies. should I put ONLY GS cookie sellers allowed??????

Nothing irks me more when they leave brochures on my doorknobs and front steps. When it rains or wind blew it away, it creates a mess. I got a mind to shove those items up in their mailbox!

The best thing we did was put a no soliciting block on our home phone. DH works night and the phone ringing all hours of the day with salesmen is very annoying. Now the phone only rings for friends and family who know hes sleeping. The block came with our phone package and it was well worth it.

I pointed out the No Soliciting sign beside my front door to a salesman once.
He politely told me he was NOT Sicilian so my "No Sicilians" sign didn't mean him.

I also had another salesman, who, when I didn't answer the door, tried the doorknob to see if it was locked.
I then opened the door with my "security system" in my hand with my boxer as backup. He took off that porch like
his tail was on fire.

Best way to get rid of them is to tell them that by not heeding then sign they have violated the trespassing laws an the sheriff/police must now be called.


How many get the calls from disabled people saying you ordered something from them months ago an there calling to tell you that it is being shipped? That con gets to me. My grandmother gets a call like that all the time.

I would have called the cops, and waited inside with my "security" -- to make sure he got caught one way or the other.
