It didn't stir the pot Royd., but it does show where your head is at. The only reason that there are a disproportionate number of liberals in the school system is because it requires a high level of dedication and above average intelligence.
The reason it's not taught is because it's not part of the CSAP. Most schools teach what's on the test. Most kids don't care anyway. They're just trying to get through school so they can start their life.
When I was in public school we were taught American history. We had an entire semester in 9th grade on Hitler and the camps. We learned quite a bit about WWI and WWII but not much about the Korean Conflict. Of course Nam was happening at the time and people in our school that couldn't afford to send their kids to college were losing sons and brothers. The general public didn't even know that much about Nam. We saw it on TV every night, but didn't know about all the usual lies and deception going on.
