I tried getting pictures of the bantam with my 1 week old chicks.. I belive the breed might be black breasted old English bantam? Any idea the age? Maybe 2 to 3 weeks? The Chick in the photo is a 1 week old today Light Brahama x EE.. I also think I might have a hen in the bantam but maybe too soon to tell?

I also want to share a few photos of my mystic marans I got with the bantam since our local tsc sells in 4s.. all suppose to be pullets but one seem meatier then the others.. we will see lol the meatier one has more white in the wingtips if that makes a difference

I think you are right on age. Between 2 and 3 weeks, most likely. I also think you are right on breed. Probably a black breasted old English game bantam. Another possibility is a light brown Dutch bantam, but they are rarer.

It's a little too early to determine gender. When the breast feathers grow in then it should be obvious. Females should have salmon or rusty colored breasts, males will eventually have all black breasts, but any black feathers at the breast early on means you have a boy.

I believe I have a pullet .. barely any comb development at 3 weeks old now and the chest feathers coming in look to be brown not black.. oh well.. will probably have to remove her as all my other chickens are standard size or bigger especially my roo.. don't want her housed alone so....

Pullet huh? Chest feathers growing in look rust colored .. no black on it to speak of and she is so little lol the others are almost a week younger lol

It is possible to keep her with large fowl if they were raised together or integrated properly. I have a blend of full size and bantam chickens together!
