What predator / pest is this?

Rat very possible. More than one species to choose from.

That seems like an unnecessarily large hole for a rat. Whatever it was got in and dug the hole larger from the inside to get out.

I caught the predator! Turns out it was an adolescent Skunk. Stunk up the WHOLE darn area. I got rid of it though, I anticipate this new chicken coop will bring in all the nearby predators, and I'll have to catch them and dispose of them one by one until they get the point. Chicken life I guess.
