What predators do you have

The only predators I have to worry about are my dogs. We have our coop and run built inside a chain link fence. My dog would go after them if you gave her a chance. She will watch them like she wants to pounce on them. She is a black lab! I can't let my chickens free roam because of her. She is a inside/outside dog, and I would be so scared that she would get them. I don't have to worry about anything from the skies because we have chicken wire over the top of our run.

You need to a handle on this. If you are the pack leader of your house your dog should respect your wishes. It is not a democracy.

Montana here. We have skunks, coyotes, foxes, bears, ermin, dogs, wolves, hawks, eagles, owls.

I have only had trouble with Foxes and coyotes.

I don't live high up enough for most bears and ermin. Bears never come near us.

I'm in Ontario, a province in Canada...

I have, bears, mountain lion, hawks, owls, raccoons, skunks, fox, coyote, wolves, snapper turtles, cats, dogs... heck there could be more but you get the idea lol

Coyote, grey fox, red fox, raccoon, possum, skunk, weasel ,mink, fishercat, various hawks. Good solid coop, a good rooster, good trapping practices, and a good aim keep the flock safe. We're timber and farming country here, so we don't have any problem to speak of with domestic dogs. Dogs that run game or livestock tend to have a short life expectancy in these parts.

So far, foxes, coyotes and hawks. No chickens lost yet, I keep them in their coop and run, only to free-range a couple times a week. I live on 10 acres out in the country and half of my property is woods. I've been extremely lucky.
