Thank you! He does, I got him last Wednesday, and he will almost stand completely still for me when I want to pick him up! His name is Llama, lol

Wow!! he is a really good rooster. He has a great temperament. I have never shown birds by self, but I would think that a good temperament is a big part of the presentation.

It looks like he may have vultute hocks which would be a disqualification. His crest is not full enough. His cushion should be broad and round with a lot of plumage.
I am not a silkie expert but that is just what I can see

He is still only 9 months old. And I thought non bearded silkies will not have very large crests

I am not sure how long it takes for Silkies to mature but usually most birds aren't changing much at this age, they will mostly fill out.
To my knowledge and according to the SOP there is no difference in the size of crest for bearded an non bearded. However for beards and muffs there is

I agree that the cushion should be full and round, not upright. Check to see if he has the proper five toes on each foot. Good luck!
