what r u reading right now ?

The Pine Barrens by John McPhee, My sister in law sent it to me since that is where I grew up as a Piney. Some of my old family names are even mentioned. Half the blueberry bushes known are named after or for family members who went into the swamps to collect the huckleberry bushes for Elizabeth White who developed what is now known as Blueberry bushes. My grandmother was born in Whites Bogs in 1916 and we grew up just a mile down the road. We picked blueberries from the time school let out for summer to the end of the season to contribute to our school clothes money for the next year.

My daughter is reading "The Daughter of Helen Kent" by Sarah Comstock copyright 1921, and I'm reading "Taste of Home" magazine.
