That's one of my favorite books. My most favorite is The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. I've read both about 5 times.

However, I'm rereading several books by Carl Hiaasen.

That says so much more than most people even know.

"The Botany of Desire" by Michael Pollan. It's not a naughty book, like the title suggests. It's about the history of a few types of plants and how they impacted humans and how we impacted them. It starts with the apple. I'm still in the beginning, but my inner science nerd is ecstatic.

After this book I'm going to totally change gears and read "Darkly Dreaming Dexter". My eldest son is in the midst of it and has read 100 pages in 2 days. And this on school days with his after school improv group meeting until 5:30. So, apparently it's a page turner.

Oh, keep going with Michael Pollan books. Read The Omnivore's Dilemma and then In Defense of Food. Seriously good reads.

Now if you want to read a really good botanically themed book, read Orchid Fever. Who knew the plant world could be so entertaining?

Recently finished The Story of Edgar Sawtelle and had to dive into another book for therapy. Chose No Country for Old Men, because I wanted something totally different from Wisconsin gothic.

Also I heard it was a good movie, but very gory. Somehow I can read the bloody stuff but can't watch it on screen. After reading No Country, no way could I have made it through the movie
