Dude, I built my hutch and my chook coop and I'm a girl. I did the coop 100% on my own, too. :p Just needed help (girls! my sister and a friend) to carry it out to the yard! I made both out of reclaimed wood I had to pry apart myself! Kudos to you for building your own hutch but that's nowhere near a gender-exclusive skill... Especially on a website full of powerful crazy chicken ladies! XD

I told you that there'd be a lot of kits... The only litters I have seen moving in my bunnies that clearly ended up being nine kits and twelve! Congrats on the nine!

It looks like I'll be lancing an abscess on my Rex's chin this up coming week. She's also managed to develop weepy eye, all with kits on her! It's frustrating because I don't want her on meds or with an open abscess around her kits. I'm giving her Terramycin for her eye and probiotics in the food/water just in case any of it manages to leech into her milk and effect the kits (although it's topical so it shouldn't). I'm going to have to wean a little early and put mom in quarantine indoors to treat which is gonna be fun. Poor bunny. She's having a hard time right now.

I'm a girl and I build, haul and do everything. And i love doing it. I'm 65 years old and way past dating, but I did all that when I was young too. You're just dating the wrong girls. There're lots of smart, wonderful girls out there for you that would love doing that work together. You did save yourself though. Lol. Great job on your babies.

Good on you PrimroseMom!! And good post!

I joke that I grew up in the Little Red Hen School of Doing Things ("I'll do it myself") lol. I have a really handy husband, but I don't have a "honey-do" list, I have a "Bunny-do" list. I'm trying to pass that kind of can-do attitude on to my kids, but it doesn't always go as planned - my son took his PSP apart before he knew what parts were available to fix it. Looks like he's going to have to replace the whole unit, but I guess that's a lesson in itself, isn't it?

I find that there isn't much difference the quality of rabbits is the same at my shows there are more open people that always help with youth questions.

That's good because I have alot of questions even though I've read literally every single rabbit book in my library... Does anyone know where I can get more show information and how I should sign up for one? I've been looking on the ARBA website but can't find alot of information... same thing with registering a rabbitry should I email it or send it by mail? :rant

Hey guys, what color would you call a rabbit that is black but has lighter colored ticking in the coat? I look up black steel but all the rabbits that came up had much lighter coats. This guy is dark black but he still has ticking through his coat. Still black steel? I might get a picture later. :)

Also the ticking isn't even through out his coat, it only really shows up on his sides...

Is it ticking, or just scattered white hairs like silvering? Silvers have lots of white hairs mixed into their coats, but you can get a thinner scattering of white hairs, too.

When entering shows u will send the money to the show secretary if ur entering early, there are also day of show entries which is a dollar more a rabbit. And when wanting to register a rabbitry I recommend sending it by mail. It may take a little longer but I just find it better. If ur wanting to hurry up and get it registered u can always email.:) if u have any questions feel free to ask me.:)
