David is a single-maned Vienna Marked (VM) Black Lionhead. Most of the VM's have white on the face; a lot have some on the feet, too. The classic VM has a wide white blaze on its face and maybe even white across its shoulders, much like the markings on a Dutch rabbit.

Not deformities, no, but a lot of his offspring will have some white on them (possibly a lot more than he has) and may or may not have blue eyes - or even one blue and one brown! If bred to another rabbit that is VM, you could get some babies that are Blue-eyed Whites.

What a cool looking lionhead. I am not typically a fan of the little breeds, but yours is very unique to me. My big butt NZ/Beveren cross surprised the heck out of me today when she decided she didn't want to be cooped up. We have two. One is so friendly and doesn't mind being picked up and snuggled. The other, aka big butt, not so much. They were both out in their playpen this afternoon. While I was returning one to the hutch, big butt decided to jump over the xpen wall and looked like a goat jumping over and out into freedom. I was shocked. It took me some time, while she played tag with me, before I could get her back into the hutch. I wish i got it all on camera. These two keep me more entertained than I ever imagined.
