He is probably chinchilla mix. I bought him from our farm store and the sign just said "clearance bucks" and he was all alone. He was tiny and cute. I couldnt resist.

He looks like my 6 month old Beverns or my 7 month old Flemish Giant. Wednesday we get to finish tearing up the rabbit area and setting the cages up with the droppings pans. Currently we have 26 rabbits. 12 that will be dinners, another 4 that may be dinners or sold as pets or breeders for others. We honestly only have 10 rabbits full time. DH just had a truck decide to spontaneously combust while he was driving it, a few weeks ago after we had another vehicle decide to blow a head gasket. DH has been a bit preoccupied with replacing and repairs.

These are my girls Blaze (top) and Shadow (bottom) I was told by the breeder that they are New Zealand/Beveren mixed. It's 85 degrees here today and they are choosing to lay on the rocks instead of the shaded grass. DH put a frozen water bottle in their hutch with them today at noon. When I got home at 3:30, they were fine and happy to come out of the hutch. They aren't exactly playful. I'm sure due to the heat but they seem to be handling things just fine.

I will try to get a few decent pictures of my rabbits. My Beverens are Moon ( new girl with attitude ), Chewy ( was suppose to be a boy and was Hans' litter mate ) and Hans. New Zealands are Alice, Peter and Sirius. Sirius's mate past away due to birthing complication. Our Flemish Giant is Anna. She has not been bred and we may wait a bit. we have two that are not named and we have no clue of their breed. The Harlequins are Augie and Annie. We tend to name in pairs. Ducks are McGee and Ziva. The Pekins are not named as of yet. We want to wait until they are sexed.

I have never heard of a bevern. I would love to see yours.

Your rabbits are beautiful. Blaze looks a little like mine. How big is she? My rabbit is 12 lbs.

Oh course my lovely rabbits decided that they would not stay still for photos. Gonna have to wait until my husband can give me a hand with the photos. They all love to sit for him. They all moved when I would snap a shot of them. I got great shots of blur. lol

Oh and I spelled the breed name wrong it is Beveren.....need more coffee.

Anyone know if there is anything I can do about this litter that was born yesterday evening? First time mamma holland lop gave birth to 4 small kits. One passed today, the rest look thin and weak. I don't think she's feeding them.

I'm contemplating taking one of my friends Hollands that have birth yesterday as well but none of the babies survived, they were horn outside overnight and it was too cold. What are the chances that doe will take on and care for these kits???
