Munkey, super cute Elops!

Conn, wouldn't have blamed you at all for DQing! Would hate for that sort of aggression to show up in such a sweet breed. :hmm

My friend's mother got bit on the chest by one of her Mini Lops that don't usually bite. Ive heard that Minis and Frenches rarely bite. My Holland and my Fuzzy have never bitten me, or anyone. I was nipped by my New Zealand once and bitten by my Mini Rex many times. The hardest bite I've ever received was from my Polish buck. It was the same day we bred him, and I had him in my living room to play. I was trying to fix the spring on my health kit, and the little fur ball came out of nowhere and chomped my finger. He let go, but it was a hard bite and there is still a scar on my pinkie finger.

I've never been bit for real by a rabbit- just nipped. But my oh my, sounds like some of you have really been chomped on! My sister was feeding my Californian buck a kernel of corn once. He missed the corn, and got her finger. Bit a good chunk of the nail right off. Those little chompers sure can do some damage!

french lops are nasty buggers at least the show table ones are. I've rarely come across nice ones. Every-once-in-a-while I get a mega sweet one. It's usually a buck.

I've been bit once by my mini rex. She is a very protective doe of her kits. Other than that I've only been bitten by a Rhinelander at convention. Got 8 stitches to close that one up. Scar there too. I guess if you handle enough rabbits you're going to get bit sooner or later. But considering the 1000s of rabbits I've handled only being bit bad ~5 times really isn't much :)

Yikes! Stitches from a rabbit bite! Thats weird how you say Frenches are nasty. Everyone I know who shows them thinks they are the sweetest rabbits in the world. My 4-H leader has like 15 of them, but they all have some disease that is killing them off. I don't know why everyone loves them so much. I don't think they are beautiful, or cute. I think the smaller the rabbit, the harder the bite. My NZ didn't hurt much when she nipped me, even though she did draw blood, but that Polish really hurt. It was a deep bite too.

Hello,

Just found this post. I am getting a bunny on Monday:) I am a 42 year old woman who wants a bunny. It is a little siamese mini satin. He is 9 weeks old. I feel like a little kid at Christmas:)

I plan on keeping him as an inside pet. Can any of you guys recommend a good cage for indoor and the pros and cons of indoor rabbits.

Thanks so much

Alice
