Hello!! I am new to the bunny world! I just received this bundle of joy from a friend who works at a fee store. She said someone here breeds show rabbits and every year around Easter brings in a few breeds to sell. She said the rabbit was tattooed but it just looks like marker not a tattoo.
Could y'all help me on the breed, maybe help with how to sex, and if my daughter could show it in our county fair?!!

I thought it wasn't a tattoo it looked like ink. Maybe so idk all I know is they breed show bunnies and the girl that gave her to me told me the ones with the marks could be shown

That mark is a marker, tattoos don't have that shape. Also, his ears are a bit long for a MiniRex

take him to a show and see what happens. asking the internet for opinions is fine, but taking him to an actual show would be better.

She also told you that it was a tattoo - I'm thinking maybe she might be confused about what the mark means. The short, wide face on your bun makes it look to me like it has the dwarfing gene, so it should finish up with the right size and type for showing.

I think that will be a good idea my daughter thought it would be fun to take him to the fair and I figured why not we are taking chickens also haha. Thank you sweet thing is adorable and loves to cuddle

They may, or they may not. He will definitely grow into them a bit, but you'll never know how much.
