What is everyone's palpation techniques?
Sometimes I can easily feel the kits. Other times, like with my Holland Lop right now, I'm having a hard time telling. I'm taking into consideration that this is her first litter. She stomach feels really squishy, it did in the beginning too. Every now and then I feel hard masses, but it seems like she should be bigger. Today is 29 days. I want to perfect my technique so I can be more sure of what I'm feeling. Then I can re-breed the does if necessary. Right now, I don't trust myself to re-breed does if I don't feel anything on the 12th day. I just wait and see.

I don't now, because my NZ never got pregnant. :/ I am getting a breeding doe for my Polish in the fall, so I am hoping to get a litter. She will be broken chocolate and he is a black with TONS of blue on his line.

I'm no help with this. I remember when I first started I kept mistaking the guts for the uterus

. These days I am much better but still make mistakes, for the most part I wait till day 14 and losely palpate around. If I feel something soft and round slide through my fingers, like a funny shaped grape only a little softer I assume that she's pregnant. They are usually up near the hips in the soft part of the belly. The trick seems to be to let everything slide between your fingers instead of trying to grab around.

I know where you can get one in NY. Or any state for that matter. :D

Come on over to the Wooly side. It's fun. lol
I've had them before - YEARS ago when I was in the rabbit hobby. I had a nice blue one but it wasn't nearly as nice looking as any of yours. The breeder I got my hollands from just took in a couple of English Angoras! She's going to get into spinning. I told her good luck with that! LOL I know you don't need to put in as much work to wooly's coats as you do angoras, but I just don't have the time and room to get into any more rabbits right now. I wish I could tho - TRUST ME! After seeing your cuties I want some! LOL
