, now im sooooooo impatient, So I went to Agway today, too look for some good food for her, I havent had rabbits in a few years, and we always fed the commercial stuff, and I had a choice between Agways food, southern states 18% and blue seal bunny 16, I made a split decision and got the bunny 16, Did I make a good choise?, she also gets I little hand full or so of alfalfa a couple times a week, although she takes a few bites she doesnt seem to gorge herself on it, she also gets a couple 1 inch pieces of carrots with broccoli and apples a day, fresh green timothy grass, along with timothy hay, Anything else im missing??? when I got her she seemed a little on the thin side...how can you tell?...I feel her back bones and her hip bones a little?, Also the person I got her from said they gave her water from a dish because she hated the bottle, I gave her the bottle and shes drinking out of it just fine?? oh well, I know i sound really neurotic, I just want to make sure i'm doing everything ok, you guys are awesome, Thank you so much

most of the time you want 16%. 18% can be better for pregnant/nursing does and wool breeds, but it is my understanding that 16% is a safe option. the alfalfa will make make sure she is getting enough if she needs more but won't be too much. i am not familiar with either brand, but if the ingredients list looks good it should be just fine. and pretty much anything is better than the stuff you can find at pet stores.

Thank you so much for your input, i wasnted to get the 18 and something told me not too last minute lol cause I feed all that other stuff too, I dont want them to be overweight lol, but when I got home and looke up the difference I was like "darn" lol , yamthose pet store food turned me off, it was mixed with all different seeds and stuff and it was the same price for a 5 lb bag, as a 25 lb bag from the feed store

I think after seeing those photos everyone threw a doe in with their buck today

.......rabbits are the cutes from day 1 I have MANY chickens also (leghorns and red crosses) which I love but even they go through their ugly stage, I want to nibble on those baby bunnies ears lol

I think if I had a extra doe I'd even be doing that! LOL But I agree, as much as I love the chickens, I hate waiting for them to feather out and become adults! LOL I have 4 silkie chicks that are 10wks old, I got them when they were 3 wks old, and I feel like it's been a year, and I STILL don't know who is a hen and who is a roo.
