I am so very frustrated and disappointed. My Holland lop doe has been having behavior issues for about a week now. She bites anything that gets close to her mouth, and makes low 'angry' sounds. My other doe is as sweet as can be, and has never bit anyone. The same with my buck.

I just don't know what to do. I don't want to breed her since she's like this, as I don't want her personality to be passed on. But, I can't have a bunny that bites at my house.

Is there anything I can do?

Agreed. Sounds like something is seriously distressing her. Even my "aggressive" (will charge/attack strangers) rabbits don't do this unless something has them wigged out.

I just don't know what is wrong.

I'm very gentle in handling her, so that's not the issue.

Once I had her on a towel while my friend and I trimmed the buck's nails. She latched her teeth on it and started tearing into it. She wouldn't let me, or my friend touch her until I gently put my sweatshirt over her eyes and picked her up.

Teeth? Joints? Muscle issues? Bellyache? Or it could be an environmental distress. Something in the air, being too close to other rabbits, loud sounds, predators near-by, no hiding spot, not enough to do... Rabbits have personalities like the rest of us.

To be fair, if all else fails they make some amazing paprikash. >_> Throw them in a pot with a chicken bullion cube, a bit of water and some sour cream, multi-colored veggie noodles and paprika... Mmmm. Next thing you know you're thinking about bringing in a Californian doe and wondering if your tiny buck will breed her so you wouldn't have to buy another buck....

Had a scare this morning something got in my kindling hutch and freaked out my doe and took one of the kits. To my suprise I found the kit but he has two teeth marks in his back. Thank goodness he's fine.:)
