Do the fly strips work for mosquitos? I just saw a bunch on sale but fly seasons about over for us so I didn't grab them but mosquitos stay all year

I will totally try a few.

We have a bug zapper set away from rabbitry to draw them over to the zapper and zap um and it does indeed kill a LOT, but down south here, a lot doesn't make a dent.
Just came across this. Going to try it inside the rabbitry this weekend! Seems simple enough. May help a bit

I made one of these last year for fly control. I hope you are more successful than I was.

I have a new zealand white buck I got a few days ago and he's about 13 weeks old,and my doe is around 2-3 years and wanting to breed ASAP!!! I was wondering if anyone has bred a buck this young and how it went? Here's my buck ''Buster''Here's my doe ''Sugar''

I tried one of those homemade traps, nadda big fail. Go herbal seems best. Citronella plants and marigolds natural repellant. If dangerous to eat tie some high in hanging pots. I havent noticed any around mine but I keep water changed daily and area clean but living 3 floors up has its advantages ive found, much fewer pests! No digging, no predators and they cant escape.

It'd probably be more sucessful if you waited another month. The action of him trying to mate may put her into a false pregnancy, making her think she's been bred but he may be a bit young at just over 3 months and be shooting blanks. This would mean you'd probably be stuck waiting that month or so anyways. Plus a more mature buck will usually give you bigger litters.

You are onto something. When I lived in Tennessee my house was built on a hill. The deck was about 2 1/2 stories up. I could sit on the deck in the summer no problem, but if I went downstairs the Mosquitos ate me up. Angel, you have a high balcony, do you notice that?

Yes, if I go downstairs im eaten alive by bugs plus I use electric units with medicated pads throughout my house, on my balcony I have plants that deter bugs and I noticed even with 2 cats we get fewer flies than our family members who have lower level rooms.the only time I get mosquitoes is when the stairway door is opened in the evening and these bugs are carried on clothing and trapped in the stairwell. I cover my windows with toile since screen material is new here and costly. I get a meter of material for .75 cents and covers my whole window in one piece. If I could get duck tape I would fit two panels to my doorways like that magnetic curtain seen on tv. Velcro is here but toile is to thin.

Which plants do you use?

I have much less issue upstairs and get eaten alive downstairs. Most species of mosquito prefer 4 feet and lower...but they'll hitch a ride and can technically fly up high, most "prey" is down low tho. Unfortunately our dog is up here, cat and us so often many have learned there's food up here too. But it is a whole lot less bothersome to kill a couple than a swarm!
