Yes, they are. I was really disappointed when I got home from the breeder and realized I had one with floppy ears. Then it grew on me and I got another.

I'd love to see a better picture of them if you have time. Their coats look much fuller than other lionlops I've seen.

I'll get better pics tomorrow. I looked around locally and found really poor quality Lionheads for $30 and $40 each.
These are double main so they are very fluffy at 9 weeks.

I'm still having a little problem here, Let's see if I understand what you've got.

Black doe (yours) from a black buck x castor doe - this makes sense. It's the next generation I'm having problems with.

Black buck from red buck x castor doe - perhaps not the likeliest outcome, but quite possible.

Castor doe from tort buck x tri doe - sorry, not doable. Castor requires the full-color gene in the E series, which is dominant to both the non-extension gene of the tort and the harlequin gene of the tri. Neither the tri nor the tort have a copy of the full-color gene, so they can't have a castor baby.

I've learned to take a lot of what I see on pedigrees with a grain of salt, because a lot of people don't understand color.
It wouldn't surprise me if the pedigrees on my does are a little off. And since we are still learning, we wouldn't have caught that on the pedigree. Very nice seller, but not super knowledgeable, I don't think that the error was on purpose. The bunnies from him have been super healthy and have good coats, but once grown have some breeding issues that weren't obvious to me when they were kits. My buck came from a very reputable breeder who competes on the national level, and who broke down all of the genetics for me when I bought him (although at the time I wasn't completely following!), so pretty sure his pedigree is reliable.
So if we were to breed our doe in the future, should we not pedigree the babies since there is an error in my doe's pedigree? I wouldn't want to knowingly pass on bad info.

I would write down what I know to be correct. If there is something that I know to be questionable, I might put a question mark there, or just leave it blank. A partial/missing pedigree significantly decreases the value of an animal in the eyes of someone who is serious about showing, since you have to have a complete pedigree to register a rabbit, and a rabbit can't become a Grand Champion without being registered. The more information you can provide, the better.

You can't be sure about just what information isn't right, or why that is. The color clearly isn't right, but that could be someone totally making things up. or maybe they didn't remember which animal they bred to which, or maybe everything else is correct, and they just misidentified the color.

I am inspecting the pedigrees more closely, since both my does came from the same person. They do have some rabbits in common in their ancestry, and they dams/sires for those in common both match on each pedigree. From what I understand, the pedigree on my tort looks okay, and the only obvious error I see on the black is the one I listed. I am hoping it is just an error, but I know there are many unscrupulous people breeding animals. I did have the man's number at one point, but I have changed phones and no longer have it. I'm going to get my kid's 4H leader to go over the pedigrees with me, and see if there is anything we can do to straighten it out. Bummer. We could acquire a better doe for the kid's breeding program, but we already have two rabbits that were our originals that are only pet quality, and I really don't want to end up with ten rabbits! We already have a bad case of chicken math, and the rabbits seem to be going the same route. It would be hard to part with any of our does, b/c of course my kids love them and they are pets. I don't have a problem breeding them and then selling kits as only pet quality, but I would like to keep a nice kit from our buck b/c he is beautiful and has great lines. I could always breed him out to one of the other mini-rex buns in our club and ask for pick of litter. Our tort doe actually did pretty well at the last show, our black has too much white scatter, which is why we were going to breed her with a broken. Def. a lot to think about before we actually breed, I don't want to do this irresponsibly. Thanks for the info, I love to learn more!
