I'm sitting here, and it's starting to rain. I remember I need to bring in some fire wood, so I go to run out and grab some before it gets too wet out there. I get to the door, and see a Cardinal baby at my feeder. He's out there chirping away, all happy. I rarely get Cardinals in my yard for some strange reason, so I took off my coat and sat back down at the computer. I'm waiting until he leaves. As I'm doing it, I'm thinking how absurd it is, letting my wood get wet so a bird can eat.

Made me think of times I've been in bed, had to go to the bathroom or wanted to get up for some reason, and didn't because one of my cats was all comfy on top of me.

Anyone else accommodate animals in such foolish ways?

If I sit in the recliner, all the dogs will sit in my lap somehow. So I will often sit there my longer than I should because I don't want to get the puppies all running around again. I also duck my head when going out the back door, and start apologizing to Larry the hummingbird. Larry scares me a lot.

Hummingbirds will dive bomb me. And either it Larry or Fred that hit me upside of the head one day. I was just sitting on the back deck reading a book when the attack happened. So I have to be very careful when I go out the back door, that I don't get hit again.

P.S. all the boy hummingbirds are named Larry, and all the girls are named Fred. It's just easier to keep thing simple with the nasty little mean attack buzzards. I also make very sure that the feeders are full, but I don't think that them birds are very grateful.

I stopped dating a guy my dog hated......wait maybe that's what the dog did for me. I ended up married to a wonderful man that my dog adored, I think he cried even more than me when we had to put the dog to sleep.

Even if I'm not very comfy on my bed, if my cat is comfy, I will stay.

During the cold months I bought oatmeal specifically for my chickens, and spent my time before school making it rather then making my own breakfast

ETA: Also, our little shed full of camping supplies and Easter stuff is currently 'SHUT DOWN' because a bird has decided to make a nest right in the middle of a pile of easter grass sitting in a basket

We left a window open so I guess it's our own fault

I can't count the times I've done that! Out there in the kitchen making scrambled eggs, mashing carrots, etc, making the chickens GRAND dishes when I haven't even eaten yet.

I spent $156 at Petsmart today. $50 getting the one dog groomed and the rest was just insanity. I consider that ridiculous.

I spent nearly $80 getting them all special jewelry tags recently. I consider that ridiculous. www.luckypet.com

I keep the air conditioner on 24/7 so they don't get hot while I'm at work. Same with heat in winter, so they dont get cold.

I own more dog and cat beds than human beds. There is currently a cat perched on my leg. I have needed to go to the bathroom for over an hour, but god forbid I should disturb the prince of the universe.
