I'd set a game camera in the kitchen, at floor level.

I would put a camera out too. Then you will know for sure what your dealing with. It does appear to be rats and there are probably a lot if you found a nest. Good luck...

I've had good luck using these box traps for rats, like everything else they've increased in price since I bought some last year. box trap I have no problem dealing with them after caught which is a consideration when choosing a nonlethal trap.

I'm in Maine, but the other day my Mom found a piece of scalely skin in her clothes.
She says whatever it is, it's been pulling stuff out of the bathroom trashes, and pulled out a bunch of stuff from under the fridge.

In the picture it does not look big enough to be a mouse, a mole, or a rat.

Granted any of these would be pulling out things.

Last year I had a family of rats and mice in my house.

We set traps for them baited with peanut butter.

I, also, put out rat poison under drawers and other places where the dogs could not get to it.

Once they started eating the rat poison they get under my love seat in the living room and the baby dog (Bridgett Brae) would get under the sofa and pull them out.

I think we killed six (6) rats and several mice as well.
