What rooster breed is this?

Just got this rooster for free the owner said it was a salmon faverolle, which obviously it’s not. So can anyone tell me what kind of rooster it is? Maybe a welsummer, or black copper maran?

Could be a lot of different things. Most likely a mixed breed.

His color doesn't quite match a Marans, but the legs lead me to believe he definitely has Marans in him at least.

Do they grade chickens like they do horses? If so, you have a grade Marans.

It looks like a wheaten Marans.
