What should I buy?

again research each breed ur getting i do see how ever reeves could pose a problem for you at such a young age as many male reeves are very nasty and considerate their job to spur u when in their pen you will need to watch him around this time next yr and never turn ur back on him itmay take a few yrs or it may not take long from to do so unless u luck up and get one that is not mean they are out their but few and far between i have one that is not meen but i went through 5 other ones that were so be carfull around him.

Id reccomend like stated above that you do some major research before getting ornamental pheasants. Maybe try your hand at raising ringnecks and then work your way up to red goldens. Reeves are beautiful but the males can become pretty aggressive. You also need pens at least 10 by 10 or 10 by 20 for a trio or quartet of exotic pheasants...give or take. I would also say instead of ordering your eggs off ebay find someone here like Tony and see if you can pre-order eggs from them for spring. That way you know your getting QUALITY birds not cross breeds like soo many ebay auctions have.
Good Luck with whatever you decided.

you have goldens but u have limited experience with them is what is being said, go atleast 3 yrs with them and then you will have experiencewith them like sam said buy from some oneon here too many crooks out their doctoring eggs not to hatch or sellin eggs that were never fertile to begin with. also like sam said reeves need a good pen for their long tails but other than that the golden and silver are great begginer birds reeves are not hard to care for or raise u justhave to keep in mind his nasty temper and like all longtailed pheasant tend to jumpy and spooked easy somove nice and slow around them. and a goodpen

I don't think we are getting the ASSORTMENT, just a dream......
I have handled an aggressive roo twice the size of an Impeyan.
