What should I do if I find an injured duck?

Let's say I find a wild duck that has a serious injury (for example a broken wing), what should I do in that situation? Should I try to catch it and give it the treatment it needs?
Never had this situation happen, just thinking

Call your dnr, game and fish or wildlife rescue, you can't legally touch them in many places and they have the skills and equipment to deal with it.

I don't know the laws in Sweden, but yes, calling the Department of Wildlife first is your best bet.

I know basically no laws in Sweden or barely Swedish itself!

my family has a permit to own mallards, though that doesn't make much of a difference i think

That's not really the same thing, if they're wild and not previously domesticated.

In the USA, call your wild life rehabber. We get lots of injured ducks that are treated and released again to the wild, or rehomed if they cannot be released to the wild.
