Maybe show your parents this thread so they can see you aren't making it up about them needing a friend. It really is important unless you plan to let this bird be in your room at night and with you every second of the day. Because it's going to turn to you, that's why it cries so much it needs a flock badly.
Thank u and I'll make sure I will do that every night

This reminds me of my little duck who lost his flock mates. He was just crying all the time unless my kids were holding him. He tried living with the chickens but they were mean to him. Then he tried living with my daughters bunny for a while and even figured out the water feeder but the bunny wasn’t having it. Then he attached himself to our new chicks we hatched and it was like he finally had a family and I let them all play in the front lawn and I left them alone for 15 minutes and the guinea hens killed my little chickens. After that he gave up and he stayed by himself and it broke my heart but he’s finally fitting in with the older ducks and has found his place.

I agree with everyone else, you really need to explain how important it is to your parents and either get another OR rehome it. It would be really cruel to keep it on it's own - even if you put it in your room etc it will be miserable. Let us know what they say. Presumably they can hear how unhappy she is so will hopefully be OK with you getting just one more.

Maybe if you give it a stuffed toy to cuddle with. I think telling your parents how lonely it is, will make you dump it. I don't know your parents but, I know mine would have insisted I get rid of it.:(

I would show this to your folks, give them a chance. Sometimes we miss read our parents when we are kids. Or are just not explaining in a way they understand. I would want my daughter to try to show me the facts of why she believed something was really important, rather than just give up on me as a caring parent. Good luck

YES! I mean, it would really be heartless of them to demand she be alone after hearing the facts that chickens can die of a lonely broken heart. That's not okay. I'd even give you a baby if you lived near me!
There's an idea, I bet there is someone near her who could give her a chick. Maybe the stores have stopped selling for the year, they have in my small town, so maybe the reason her parents said no more was because of having to order in bulk this time of year from most hatcheries? Or exorbitant shipping fees.

So my suggestion if that is the case, to look in your local Craigslist or sites like that, and see if you can find one to buy, you can also go to neighboring farms and ask. I know if someone came by and told me that story I would certainly sell them a chick, as fast as I had one.
Hope you can find one somehow.

I try to tell my parents but they don't give a damn about my lonely chicken :( they can't even let me sleep with her in my bed :(

I know why, that would be VERY messy. Chickens poop while they sleep. Even with a chicken diaper, that wouldn't be sanitary. Plus, chickens shed a LOT of dander. They really are better off outside.

I'm sorry this happened. I know you are very attached to her. However, I would tell your parents that you would rather give her up than see her live alone. That might help sway them if they saw that you were willing to put her well being above what you want.

I know you want to keep her but if your parents won't let you get a friend for her, the best thing to do is to find a new home for her. Chickens aren't like dogs. While dogs are "group oriented" animals like chickens are, they are also fundamentally different. They aren't domesticated to the point that they can graft on to people the way a dog does and they are prey animals, and that instinct to watch and be watched out for by flock mates is very strong. They need at least one flock mate.
