I just found out that there is a rather big exotic animal auction held each Friday night. My friend and i are planning to go this weekend, and I was wondering what I can expect......so what are your guys experiences.

Anxiety! I always loved the thrill of bidding at an auction. Have fun and know your price limits before bidding. Some people get wrapped up in they have to have it and bid way higher than they wanted to.

I am not a fan of exotic animal auctions. Too many people buying animals they shouldn't be owning such as tigers and other exotics. These animals are legal as long as they are not an endangered species and they are domesticaly raised. I think there is enough of domestic animals out there needing homes rather resorting to getting Lions, bears and etc. People will always want what their neighbor doesn't have. I have heard of these auctions and I find them heart breaking. That is my opinion.

I'm not even allowed to any auction anymore!!! DH won't let me.

Last time I went I came home with a Jersy calf that I paid $11 for. Actually that's not true, (about DH not letting me go) I live too far away now, about 2 1/2 hours.

Never heard of an exotic auction, our state doesn't even allow Iguana sales, so wouldn't be much to auction. I've only been to livestock sales and mostly they have calves and older chickens.

You think there will be tigers and stuff? I just figured it was called exotic because people in Orlando, FL consider chickens and goats exotic LOL. Hope Ill get a chance to find out tomorrow. DH says I cant buy anything...but that doesnt mean someone cant buy it for me! <grin> And wow! a cow for $11!!! I would bought that one too hehe.
