I have been feeding my 3 chick and my 2 hen a mix 25% medicated and 75% cracked corn!! Is this ok! should I not feed them this? should I add something?

this is getting crazy

That is entirely too much cracked corn - you want the corn or any "treat" to be no more than 10% of their daily intake with the higher protein, higher nutrition staple food (ie the crumble) being the bulk of it. What do you mean by it is "getting crazy"?

Welcome to BYC!

You should be feeding the chicks starter feed and the hen needs to be on layer feed. If this hen is a pullet and not laying yet, you can feed her the starter feed as well. If you have all of these birds together eating the same feed and this is a laying hen, you need to feed a Flock Raiser...something they can both eat and doesn't have high amounts of calcium.

I would skip on the corn, especially this time of year and it will add more fat and can cause them to over heat from the high carbohydrate content of the corn.

Unless these are baby chicks, get them off the medicated feed. It is not good for them.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! You've gotten some good advice above, good luck with your birds.

How old are the chicks? I'm assuming they are all housed together and hence the problem. You can feed chick starter if the little ones are very young. The added protein won't hurt the hens for a short time. If the chicks are older than 8 weeks or so you can feed them all chick grower feed or an ''all flock'' or flock raiser. If the hens are laying age keep a dish of oyster shell out for them until the chicks are 18 weeks or so, then you can keep them all on that or switch to layer feed.
