I will stop turning my eggs either tonight or first thing tomorrow morning. Day 21 is over on thursday at noon. I'll be going to Wallyworld grocery shopping tomorrow and Tsc is near by. Anything beside the obvious that is should have handy? With obvious i mean, the brooder, waterer, the heat lamp and food. Stick new chicks in the brooder with 2 1/2 weeks old bantams not to good of an idea, right? Gosh i am so nervous i will have to get me some fabric to make aprons for me and my girls.
I have 20 eggs that developed , cant see how many are alive because i dont have a good candler yet. But i will be happy if i end up with 5 pullets.

Boiled water, clean towels, cigars?

Seems like you have your list pretty complete. Not too sure about putting the hatchlings in with the two week olds. But you can try and see if they don't pick on the little ones. If they start picking too much, you may have to make other arrangements.

a Paddlock for the incubator, a lock on the door to the room were the incubator is and give key to someone totally not interested in chicks..................hmmm I think that about covers it.

(oh sorry that is what I need during a hatch, maybe you need other things)

Good Luck with your hatch!

i wish i could but my snakes , the gator snapper and the chicks are in that room, since it has the most stable room temperature. Im just glad that the bator has viewing windows.
