Customers will buy whatever they're told. For example, someone can sell "purebred Americana's" which really are crossbred Easter Eggers, but the customers don't care. . . As long as they are hens and lay pretty eggs.

If you want colored eggs, mate him with a green, blue, or brown egg layer. If you want neat colors such as his, try and keep on the track of Wheaten or Duckwing based colors. Keep away from solid colors like black, blue, or white. If you find a blue based color though, instead of solid blue, you'll get some gorgeous splashy versions too.
