Well I started out wanting to be a vet, however chemistry killed me. I am horrible with math and chemical equations other than the very basic ones lik h2O and O2.
Anyway, I did finish my AA which is all basic stuff at our community college and got married to the love of my life (or so I thought at the time).
Stayed married for 10 years and worked part time in mostly animal related jobs, pet store, for a vet, a horse trainer, ect.
What I finally discovered? I really want to be and wanted all along, was to be a horse trainer.
I do train horses here and there but not full time and it is usually a trade out job instead of money.
My current real job (after being a stay at home mom for the first 3 years of my daughters life) is working in a green house.
I certainly had NO intentions of being a mom, now four kids later and the youngest about to go into kindergarten and the oldest having just passed the drivers' permit (God save me!) test... I get to finally find OUT what I am supposed to be. So far, I've been a mom, a wife (twice), a sister and a daughter. Learning to be a farmer. Hmm..something that earns $$? No clue yet.
Firefighter/EMT here too....
schedule didn't work out with kids though...so gave it up...and went into Nursing....worked OB and 2 of my babes born by physician I worked with...very nice!
Went to U of MD Fire and Rescue Institute...got laughed at the whole TIME....but I did it despite the abuse. DO not MISS it....
Always wanted to be SOMETHING my parents were proud of...they are proud and tell me all the time!! I was the SON my Dad always WANTED...and my little brother didn't like that ONE BIT!!
I want to rehabilitate abused and injured horses. Been working already with the two I've had with Pat Perelli, and trying to pattern after Monty Roberts. I was born to do something with horses, I can feel it.
I also love writing and photography. Maybe I could combine all three and write a book about the horses I work with. I dunno.
I KINDA wanna be a lawyer, but after talking to several of them, I decided against it. haha.
I have a while yet to figure it out. I do want to get married young and be a stay-at-home mom, though. Bleh. That's the list AFTER I narrowed it down.
I should have been a big ol' mess! (Misspent youth, "demons", yada-yada!)
I am thankful every day that I met my DH, who loves & encourages me. I follow my ambitions and live a healthy life.
BTW - It's not too late, folks! Ignore the number on your driver's license. I earned a B.A. and M.A. in my early thirties. At 42, I am completing my Ph.D.
