What sise should a laying box be in your mind

What size + # of boxes should i build for 11 hens. Sizes, number of boxes.

Nest boxes can vary greatly. Depends on the size of the chicken. Maybe a rule of thumb is the nest should be just bigger than the chicken. As a starting point try 12" wide, 12" deep, and 9" tall. Some people use 5 gal buckets, kitty litter boxes etc.
For 11 hens about 3-4-5 nests should be enough.
