After receiving some lovely blue samples from goldenluver and NanaKat, I think I may work with blues this time, something I rarely do. Maybe blue stars in various shades of blue, similar to the fourth pic in the first post.

oh am I so glad you've come up with an idea for those scraps. and such a wide variety of samples that you could almost add any blue to the group and it will work with them.

Thanks so much, Barbara! Yes, I did get inspired by those blues (among others in that fabulous goodie box)!

Oh, I prewashed the fabric for the Evergreen quilt. I have a good bit of the backing material as well as some of the gold print in my own stash! The instructions are easy and the fabrics so gorgeous, it will be a pleasure to make. As soon as I am quilting on Ellie's, I'll begin cutting out the pieces in the kit. Usually, I have one thing being quilted and one being pieced at the same time.

Yes, I use Quilter's cache. It is a great site for beautiful blocks in the 12.5 inch size.
Sometimes the instructions can be a little hard to follow if you are making a bunch of blocks. So I often rewrite the instructions to include a set of 4 or eight blocks in the cutting instructions.
