What size bulb?

I am currently building my own incubator and I was wondering what size bulb is best. I currently have a 40w bulb in there but I'm worried about it not maintaining temperatures properly, or if the temps drop it wont bring them up fast enough. What types have you used?

if you use polystyrene home made bator, better use 5 watt in 220 volts and it can reach even 40 deg in C.

i use 2 bulb, but only 1 is turned on, and it can reach more than 40 deg, other is backup and real useful to help bumping temp high and fast. better use 2 so you can have 1 as backup or turning them both to bump the temp high faster.

5 watt, 220 volts. less than US$0.2 here (sorry i don't know how to count cent) so with US$2 you can buy about a dozen bulb.
