What size drinker do chicks need?

Want to buy a waterer for my chicks so they can drink without the fear of drowning and it’s always clean, what size drinker would baby chicks need? I see they have a 1 ltr one and a 1.5 ltr one? Which one would be best?

The volume capacity matters little. You want a drinking tray that is narrow so only a chick's head will fit in it.

To take this one step further, I also like adding gravel to the drinking area (think driveway gravel sized) so they can literally only dip their beak into the water. I've heard horror stories about chicks falling in and drowning, and these steps make this near impossible for them to fall in.

I used marbles in my 1 qt waterer when the chicks were tiny. A single row, all the way around the waterer tray. That worked well for me.
