What snacks do you like to feed your chickens?

I almost forgot. Ours LOVE plain popcorn from our hot air popper. I love it when one of the Welsumer boys grabs a big popped kernel and runs around the pen singing to himself with a couple of hens chasing after him. They also love Cheerios.

My girls LOVE cheese, and pasta (in moderation) they go nuts for rice and sweetcorn too.

I gave ours their first raisins this morning. It was hysterical. The biggest Buff Orpington took off after one of the smaller hens who had a raisin in her mouth and was running around in a blissful panic that only a chicken can create, tripped over another hen and did a perfect, tail over teacup somersault. She came up on her feet and just kept running after that hen with the precious raisin in her mouth.

Never saw a chicken do a somersault before. I was impressed.

I hang a cabbage just out of reach so they have to jump to get it,hours of entertainment and keeps them busy.
