I was kidding - I just spent so much of the last 10 years birding and identifying and learning to identify birds that I feel like it's my job.

I'm a self-employed artist who also works a part-time boring job.

Ok, I'll go with yellow bellied flycatcher then. We don't have too many flycatchers here, but we saw quite a few on a trip we took down south a few years ago. They're tricky to remember.

That's awesome. You probably have heard of Ken Kaufman if you do much birding then. I met him when I was younger and he gave me one of his bird books and personalized it for me. That was petty cool.
I'm mainly into waterfowl, but I've been to a lot of birding events and stuff. I mostly like just photographing them. I even got to go with a group in Ohio to do a big bird banding project. We got to do hundreds of songbirds; ovenbirds, warblers, sparrows, etc.

I'm an artist too! I bet we've got a lot in common. What kind of art do you do?

Cool! Yes, I've heard of him. I love photographing birds too!
I mainly paint and draw animals. Birds and dogs are my favorites.
