Me too. I usually listen to either country (preferably on the Rock side) or heavy metal. Singing along with so much metal/rock has given me a really low voice for a female, I'm contralto. Which reminds me of a story (oops.... Am I getting THAT old?I listen to a lot of music still. just not top 40 pop garbage.
My children stare at me like that when I'm bouncing back and forth between Serj and Darin on BYOB or Geoff Tate on anything from Empire. I'm a tenor, and I still have most of my range. A few months ago one of my friends was riding with me to a festival in town. I had the radio on like usual, switching between stations to find something worth listening to. As I scan past a newer song (pop-y style, yuck) my friend started singing along, so I let the song finish. Once she was done, I kept scanning until I found a good rock station, and Metallica "Enter Sandman" was playing, so of course I started singing along. By the time I got to
