I just moved the girls outside to the chicken coop and am wondering what treats I can start giving the girls? Do I need to chop it up or just throw it in as it is falls. Lettuce, tomatos, what eles. Thanks. They seem very happy to be in the new house.

try 'food' or 'treats' in the search engine... there are some harmful things you should know about. I think raw potatoes or peels is one.

I generally chop up the treats or table scraps to the size of raw oatmeal for young chicks. Yes, even my older chickens get their treats cut into bite-sized pieces. I don't want anyone choking.
Peas & carrots, cabbage, apples are some of my flock's favorite treats. Mini bites of COOKED meat, bacon, ham, burger, fish.

You are correct, as are raw beans. They are toxic unless cooked for a minimum of 10 minutes.
Most other fruits & veggies are good. Mine go nuts for bread, the softer, the better. Spoiled little fuzz balls..

Bananas, cooked, crumbled eggs, oatmeal, lettuce or other greens.
