Hey everyone, new member here. Came for advice and help starting up again. Had nearly 40 mixed breeds from age 13-17 my parents hated it. They couldn't understand why I didn't just want a dog or a cat. Now I am 27 and own a home and got a dozen. Lost a few to parasites until I could get the medicine. I've got 7 left and may get more. I am still figuring out how to deal with my hawk problem so as of this moment I'm attempting to build shelter while keeping them on my back porch.[IMG]

    My Coop
This coop has worked out very well for me: http://www.thegardencoop.com/
I have 6 chickens and they are very content in this coop but it is very customizable and I am sure you could make it much bigger to hold more chickens... Good Luck!!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends [IMG]
