What the heck came out of this egg!

i went to hard boil an egg and this came out! It's off white. And like a long ribbon. Usually if I'm boiling and there is a crack some white will protrude out but this looks like a flat worm or something, anyone have a clue? Or is it nothing. Thanks

Wow. That looks very suspiciously like a tapeworm.
I don't think I've ever heard of one in an egg before... EVER. Does it appear to have segments throughout the body?

I haven't opened the egg yet to see do tapeworms get in chickens? My husband thought maybe it was yolk but the long flat just has me stumped

Just looked inside cooked egg looked normal

I'm pretty sure they can get tapeworm.

If yolk seeped out cooking, I would think there wouldn't be any left in it when you cut it open.

Yes there was yolk and looked normal
