Lexington, that's something to think about. I tried to find pics of that cross but didn't have much luck. I have a fabulous BO roo and I will be looking for some barred rocks this spring.

Yay! What color are they laying?

Arrianne is laying a pinkish cream egg and Molly is laying a lovely pale cream colored egg. Both are lovely. And my niece particularly loves the pink one. I had so hoped for a blue or green egg though. *sigh* I'm just going to have to get an easter egger this spring too.

The black legs makes me think they are crossed with silkie somewhere along the line.
Poss golden laced wyandotte mixed with silkie?
The colour egg they will lay is shown my the colour of the flap behind their ear. If it is pale red, it will lay pale brown eggs, deep red, dark brown eggs, whiteish grey will lay green/blue eggs (so I have been told).
They look too young to be laying yet though.

Finding photos of smooth silkies was a little more difficult so I will have to try and show you on a pic of Francis, my silkie. Her sister was a frizzle and she was smooth (how weird)

Sue, omg though! That pic is unreal. Like a black and white photo inside a color. I have never concidered that contrast until it was side by side. Lovely!
