What the heck is with this snow?

Well it was raining, to the point of puddles in the back yard... now it's snowing.

Not too heavy, and not sticking as yet, but snowing still.

And it's expected to freeze... NOT good news for those who have work in the morning.

Chickerdoodle, I'm in Ky. They told us less than one inch and we got 5. BUT we have an even bigger storm coming Monday night or Tuesday. Can't remember! All the snow days (kids out of school) are beginning to run together. They'll probably be in school thru July at this rate.

Chickerdoodle13, are you still going to the farm show tomorrow? Latest report has the storm starting late afternoon through noon on Wednesday. Looking at around a foot in Central NJ with extensive drifting.

We would have much, much, much rather had snow and then stopped. But, we got blessed with about 1/4" of ice glaze last night. You can't walk on it, so I can't imagine what it would be like to drive on it. This is the view from my carport across my front yard this morning:

I know! Its like when they are 3 and have no fear only now they add a vehicle in the mix! They did make it home fine, but the blizzard caused them to take a wrong turn and end up getting lost and made them over an hour later. DS text me that they were leaving the city, and I know EXACTALLY how long that takes, 63 minutes later they should have been bursting in the door!! Nope!! Did anybody think to call or text me and say oops, we screwed up??!!! Nope!!

I have a hair appointment today to cover up the extra gray

We decided to cancel and reschedule for Friday. My mom was too worried about the snow and said she didn't want to feel rushed all day just to beat the snow home. I had to agree with her, especially since I don't want to take any chances with my car on the highways! Friday might be more crowded, but I'm still glad we are getting to go!

ETA: How was the rodeo? I'm sad I didn't get to go this year. Usually my dad gets free tickets from a friend at work, but he didn't get any this year.
