what time do your birds roost for the night?

I close many nights at work and get home at about 8:30. My ladies hear me pull in, and they know my routine. They were going in a while back around 9:10 or so, but the summer is rolling on, and now tonight even with the first experince with free ranging they all were in bed, on their roosts by 9:40. Thanks goodness I am off tomorrow, as a party night like they had maybe they will sleep in a tad bit???? LOL

Usually on my days off I get out there by 7:30 and they are all pretty upset that they can't get out side yet!!!! LOL They are up, ready to do the chicken thing!

My gang go in the coup, anywhere from 730 to 8pm. If I am out about doing yard work they tend to stay around me & scratch here & there, waiting for me to make the first move.

We put them to bed at dusk and they are already in the coop. We give them a little scratch at that time to reinforce their going in

My girls have been out in their coop for about two months and ever since the beginning they have gone into their coop and up onto their roost at 8:30 every night like clockwork. Their is a variance of maybe five minutes on either side. It is quite amazing and really cute!

My girls usually start roosting about 30 minutes before sunset it takes them that long to fight for the "best spot" it seems theres 3 roosts and they all want the one with the window view.lol.

Mine hang out in the run till dusk then i'll go lock em in. Right now it's before 930 but see if that changes as the time shortens. Been debating on trying to let em roam for an hour at before they go in but not sure if they would go back.
