What time do your chickens get up?

Around 0230 . . . when the automatic lights come on.

Otherwise, they won't leave their roost until it's light. But, the roosters always seem to start crowing when it's still dark.

I let mine out of the coop by 7:30 on days I'm not at work and closer to 7 on days I commute. By 7:30 they want OUT but at 7 they're groggy and still roosting.

It's dark from 4:30p-7:20a right now. thank goodness that the days are getting longer again!
