Hello,
i have 2 drakes that get along well. They have been mating the girls like normal but the one especially is getting pretty aggressive. Some of my hens have no feathers and bleeding on their necks which i keep spraying with wound spray. Do they mate a lot at night when locked in their pen? I don't worry about it too much during the day bc the girls are able to get away but I'm thinking of separating them to the barn at night. Thoughts?.... trying to get more females but it's hard to find older hens right now. i have ducklings but they're too young.

It sounds to me like you've got to separate the drakes from the girls ASAP! At the very least until they heal from their wounds! There was someone the other day who lost a duck from over mating. It wasn't pretty!

I just went through the same thing. Not major injuries or anything. But I took the main aggressor and blocked him in his own section of the coop. My coop is L shaped
At night I would put one of my ladies in with him.. so he would have someone to cuddle with

I had chicken wire that separated them so the other ducks could still see him and Visa versa

After a few days I let him out with the other and if he started a fight right away he would go back in

After about 2 weeks of this he is now finally back with me others (4 total 2 drakes 2 ladies)
They isn't any fighting going on maybe a squabble now and then. But that only last for a few seconds

When Zeke's feet start turning bright orange I know hormones are kicking in and I have to keep an eye on them

Good luck
