What time of day do turkeys lay?

I still have yet to see a turkey egg....does it make a difference that my goose JUST started laying 4 days ago? Are they kind of right around the same time?

Also, I see the toms strutting all day ong...but have not seen any action??

I have noticed from my blue slates that they would lay on a clock that is slightly longer then 24 hours.

Meaning that they lay a couple hours later every day until they miss a day.
This would happen once a week.
So on average I would get about 6 eggs a week when they are in full production from a good hen.

If I noticed a hen laid at 8 in the morning on monday then she mostly likely will lay her next egg
around 10 in the morning on tueday.
The trend would go like this until around supper time and then the hen would switch back to laying first thing in the morning again and restart the program over again.

This holds true for all poultry, Their internal clocks are set for 25 hours to produce each egg. That's just the way they are made.

mine started laying at the dinner hour one day then skipped a day then the next day laid one late afternoon. After she got to 3 eggs in her nest she has pretty much laid every day but she is new to laying so she doesn't seem to have a pattern yet. but it took her until the fourth egg to actually lay the egg IN the nest where I had put her other three eggs. she is an Eastern wild and I think this is probably her first full laying season, but I've only had her for one month. I've seen one attempted mating which lasted all of 5 minutes then she got up and left. Perhaps she didn't like us staring at her lol.
