What to charge for services? **UPDATE** GOT A BETTER JOB!!

You do what you gotta do for your family. Don't feel bad about the six bucks - I just commend you for working when you know you need it. I've see so many people just drown when the storms hit their life because they refused to take certain jobs. When it came down to the line, I also accepted a job I didn't particularly like but knew would pay the bills.

It makes you a good, loving person. You're willing to care for someone else so that you can... care for someone else.

I wish I knew more people like you, actually.

Hello I was reading this post and am currently going to school for nursing, we have our instructor that let us in on a trick for the queezy (because of smell)...If you put one of the strong mint strips in your mouth ( the kind you lay on your tounge) The flavor is so strong it prevents you from smelling anything for at least a couple minutes. Long enough to get the diaper changed and prevent any gagging or embarassing anyone because of gagging. I too have a very strong sensitive smell and keep altoids and strips on me at all times. Worth a try. Good luck!!

Thank you! I do remember as a young teen some of the things we used to do for my Great Aunt who was bedridden with a feeding tube, but having been so young, I do not remember the details very well. I may have to ask your advice a few times, and so humbly thank you for making yourself available!! You all are so sweet! Calming my nerves and such when I am obviously questioning my capabilities!! LOL! I do think I will like this job very much

Hubby is an EMT and my aunt was an RN, now NP, said the same thing...it helps them with the queasiness.

One mortician said, dab a bit of Vicks under nose, that you wont smell dead, composting bodies.

That's what I do. I dab a bit of Vicks under my nose because some of the ladies in my office bath in perfume. Works like a charm.
