What to charge for services? **UPDATE** GOT A BETTER JOB!!

Well now I wonder if I screwed up. He hasn't called. When I talked to him apparently the "other girls" as he put it were working for less than 6/hr.....how? I don't have a clue?!?! But, he hasn't called me to come in...was supposed to this morning...

Maybe he changed his mind, maybe 6 was too much. My power will get shut off if I can't go make some cash..now I wonder if I should call and say $5/hr would be okay

OTOH gas prcies are shooting up and I live about 20+ miles away...would it really pay me to drive that far? By the time I take out gas money, I'll be making more like $4 an hour which IF I get 8 hours would only be $32 a day.....still money, but not near enough. What can I do

I would call him for sure just to find out. Maybe he didn't know he was supposed to call you to show up and he's thinking that YOU aren't coming for $6/hr.

I called...she's back in the hospital

She has the flu. That is why I haven't been called yet. Bless her heart, I feel like a selfish jerk now for worrying about myself

Awww, don't blame yourself, those were honest feelings from someone with a lot of cares & concerns of her own to deal with. Now that you have the time, really work out the math on how much it's going to cost you to drive there for the small amount they're willing to pay you. I don't know how it would be worth it to work for such a small amount, don't settle for any less!

Is your power company willing to work with you? Our local company has special programs for folks in need, and I'm sure you're not alone. Often they just need to hear from you, to know you're not just skipping out on the bill, but need a bit more time to pay it. Let them know you're waiting to begin a job that pays a megre $6/hr just so you can pay them. There may be other agencies in your community that can help you. Having power to your home, especially in winter, is a necessity.

I got a different job!!!!!!!! Probably about 3 weeks of work, much better pay, and something I have WAYYYY more experience at and LOVE to do!!!

Basic remodel type stuffs. Painting, etc. And for a BYC'er, but I won't drop name, not sure what she is comfortable with

They have bought a new house, and we will be prepping/repainting etc. for the move in!! I'm SOOOOO excited!! She's a LOVELY sweet person and has a beautiful family and home! I'm EXCITED!
