What to charge for services? **UPDATE** GOT A BETTER JOB!!

When my girl friend had someone care for her father, they were paid $20.00 per hour, "under the table" so to speak. When he qualified for state assistance, they were paid $15 per hour. HOWEVER, this is CT were everything is really expensive. Hope this helps.

I did a lot of what you're describing at $8.50/hour The agency got $20/hr to sit in the office and I got less than half to wipe booty with a smile. Seriously that makes me feel a bit better as twisted as that sounds....I know it's the right thing, but darn some poopy butt!!! I will NOT say I am looking forward to it!

Don't know what your school system is like, but have you considered checking into becoming an instructional aid in a school??? The special education classrooms generally are the hardest pressed, especially the multiple handicapped rooms. Sorry, but the "wiping butts" thing made me think of it, because those jobs usually require some of that, and some feeding. Just an idea, because they don't pay great, but they pay better than $6 and are full-time jobs.
As for the $6 an hour...you're probably making a huge difference to this old lady and her family.

these are all VERY common in ANYONE who has spent time in hospital and can be transmitted to healthy people like yourself gloves, mask, and gown are things you should have on hand at all times while working
